Day 1- Arrival into Bariloche
You fly into the Bariloche Airport (BRC) in the afternoon where you will be met by your DreamSki guides and fellow ski adventurers. Enjoy an Argentine “copa de vino” while you travel to nearby Villa La Angostura, a picturesque lakeside ski town below Cerro Bayo Ski Resort. Savor your first Argentine dinner and then off to bed for tomorrow’s first day of on-snow adventure!
Days 2 & 3 - Ski Cerro Bayo
Cerro Bayo Ski Resort rises above the famous Lake Nahuel Huapi offering sweeping majestic views of this 100 km long lake. Area-wise Cerro Bayo is not that big but it offers terrain of all types; from steep powder pitches if you are up for a short hike, to large open fields of off-piste and long lengthy groomers. Cerro Bayo is a small and friendly ski area that delivers fresh tracks more often than not.
Day 4 - Sightseeing & Travel to Esquel
You travel south to the Patagonian town of Esquel, gateway community to La Hoya Ski Resort. Along the way you will visit the town of El Bolson, known for its hippy type vibe. You will enjoy lunch and a visit to its colourful artisan market for some unique souvenirs. As you continue to Esquel you will experience the vast vistas and terrain of Patagonia for some great photo ops . You will spend the evenings in Esquel sharing matte and enjoying the Patagonian gaucho hospitality.
Days 5 & 6 - Ski La Hoya
You will ski La Hoya with its abundant off-piste terrain and exceptionally dry Patagonian powder. La Hoya translates to “the bowl”. The name derives from the shape of the mountain, a wide circular glacial basin that offers great sweeping fields of fresh snow. La Hoya’s varied terrain, uncrowded slopes, and location in the heart of the Patagonian Andes make it a truly unique Argentine ski destination.
Day 7 - Ski La Hoya & Travel to Bariloche
After your day of skiing at La Hoya you will travel to Bariloche, a vibrant city of over 100,000. In the evenings, we will take advantage of Bariloche’s wealth of restaurants offering local Patagonian trout and lamb, and Argentina’s famous beef. Also there are ample shopping opportunities at great prices.
Days 8, 9, 10 & 11 - Ski Catedral
You will ski four days at the largest ski area in Argentina, Cerro Catedral, located on the edge of the bustling city of Bariloche. This modern ski area includes 3,000 acres of in-bounds terrain and 36 lifts. Cerro Catedral offers all kinds of terrain, great on mountain refugio’s for some of the best ski hill lunches you will experience and a bustling ski village. The views of the Andes and Lake Nahuel Huapi from the top of Catedral are some of the most scenic in the world.
